ONE SERVICE July 10, 10am Communion and Baptism COMMUNION We will celebrate communion in our combined worship service. In breaking the bread and sharing the cup, just as Jesus did with his disciples, we remember the ultimate gift of love—Jesus’ sacrificial death. Let us join one another in this meaningful time of remembrance and celebration. EXPERIENCE BAPTISM Jesus instructed us who claim to be his followers to be baptized. He set a clear example by being baptized by John the Baptist (see Mark 3:13 -16). Baptism is the grand public celebration of a person’s decision to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior we invite you to make the commitment of baptism. Please contact one of the Pastors about taking this next step of faith. LUKE 3:11 - SUMMER NEED Summer is particularly difficult for families in need. School food programs and typical relief programs are usually not available once school is out. Donations to the Food Bank are lower during the Summer months. We see this as an opportunity to show the love and compassion of Jesus. Please help by filling your Luke 3:11 bags and bringing them each Sunday during the months of June and July.

READING ‘THE STORY’ AHEAD The sermon for June 26 will be Chapter 11: From Shepherd to King. Please read it and/or 1 Samuel 16-18; 24; 31; 2 Samuel 6; 22; 1 Chronicles 17; and Psalm 59.

God goes to great lengths to rescue lost and hurting people. This is what “The Story” is all about—God’s great love affair with humanity. It’s essential for Christians to know the overarching story of the Bible. Therefore, over the course of 32 weeks, we are looking at the Bible as one continuing story of God and his people—the unfolding progression of Bible characters and events from Genesis to Revelation. Like any good story, “The Story” is filled with intrigue, drama, conflict, romance, and redemption—and this story is true! * Books available at stores and online. *adapted from the book cover

MISSION AND VALUES Our desire at Eaton Church of the Brethren is to enable every person to experience the living Christ in life transforming ways. In continuing the mission Jesus placed before His followers when He commanded them, and us, to go and make disciples, we are dedicated to four intrinsic values. These ongoing values of Experience, Connect, Grow, and Impact are interwoven and cannot be taken singly but as a four-fold approach to our call as a local expression of Christ's worldwide church.
