11Facts About Finding Dory That No Finding Nemo Fan Knows Celebrities Pixar's latest animated movie, Finding Dory, was one the most anticipated movies of 2016. After the success of its first part, Finding Nemo, the stakes for its sequel were very high. Dory is one the most loved animated characters. So it made sense to make a movie with Dory as the protagonist.  Do you think you know everything about Finding Dory and its characters? 1. Nemo was replaced.

Since the actor who voiced Nemo in Finding Nemo movie, Alexander Gould, was all grown up by the time Finding Dory was filmed, the director had no choice but to replace him with Hayden Rolence since Nemo is still a kid in the movie.

2. Finding Dory Released date was supposed to be 25th November.

Finding Dory was first going to be released on 25th November 2015, but when Pixar's other movie, The Good Dinosaurs, was supposed to be released on 25th November then Finding Dory's release date was pushed to 17th June 2016.

3. The time gap.

Though Finding Dory is released after 13 years of Finding Nemo, the movie picks up after one year of its predecessor.

4. The most liked character.

Dory's official Facebook page has more than 25 million likes which are the highest of any Disney or Pixar's character. 

5. Cameo by Sigourney Weaver as Sigourney Weaver.

Sigourney Weaver did a cameo in Finding Dory as Sigourney Weaver; she was also the voice on the intercom of for the Axiom, the ship in the movie Wall-E.

6. The mysterious "A113" appears again.

All Pixar films have "A113" hidden somewhere, and Finding Dory continued series trademark. It appeared on a truck license plate, 'CAL A113'. Also, the tags on the seals tails were A1 and 13.

7. Gerald appears in Finding Nemo and Finding Dory.

The Pelican from Finding Nemo that almost swallowed Marlin and Dory and the third sea lion in Finding Dory, both are named Gerald.

8. The photo of Darla.

The picture of Darla From Finding Nemo also appeared in Finding Dory. 

9. Finding Dory trailer was first released on Ellen DeGeneres show.

It was on Ellen, the voice of Dory, who first announced the film on her show and the first trailer was also first shown on her show. 

10. The reason why Hank is a Septimus instead of Octopus.

Hank only has seven tentacles in the film only because the animators realized that they cannot fit eight in the frame. The characters background story was later changed accordingly. 

11. Ty Burrell and Ed O'Neill

Ed O'Neill (Hank) and Ty Burrell (Bailey) are also co-stars on the show Modern Family.
