HOW TO GROW Space the seed thinly, direct into finely raked, moist, warm soil where the plants are to flower 13mm (½”) deep. Germination takes 10-14 days. As the seedlings develop, thin to achieve a final spacing of 25cm (10”). Alternatively, for pots or patio containers, sow on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 13-18˚C (55-65˚F) 3 or 4 seeds to a 7.5cm (3”) pot. Plant out after careful acclimatisation to outside conditions.
AFTERCARE Water as necessary and keep a look out for caterpillar pests.
Princess of India - deep red flowers on chocolate-green foliage 25cm (10”). Tom Thumb Mix - colourful blend ideal for borders 23-30cm (9-12”). Peach Melba - attractive, distinctive flowers on dark foliage. Good for borders/containers 25cm (10”).
HELPFUL HINT
Fresh flowers can be picked for use in salad. Quality Control: This seed has been carefully tested to ensure high germination. Prior to use, store in a dry cool place.
Alaska Mix - colourful flower mixture on distinctive “marbled” foliage. Excellent for borders 25cm (10”). Dayglow - semi-trailing mix, excellent for hanging baskets or containers.
