How to grow: Sow the seeds from March to June in pots or trays using a good quality, moist compost pressing the seed lightly into the surface. Do not cover with compost. Place in a plastic bag, seal and position in the bottom of a refrigerator for 3-4 weeks to pre-chill. Remove from the bag and re-site on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 16-18˚C (60-65˚F). Native to Primula florindae S.E. Tibet Originating from S.E. Tibet where it grows in huge numbers, this is one of the largest and most prolific primulas available and was named after the collector’s wife, Florinda. The plants will grow larger each year producing as many as 80 or more attractive yellow flowers on a well established specimen. This plant thrives in a very moist or boggy soil and has a delightful hyacinth-like fragrance.

Germination can be slow and erratic taking several months. Transplant seedlings into trays and grow on in good light. Plant out at least 30cm (12”) apart in a sunny or partially shaded position.
