Dear Parent, Your son/daughter has shown an interest in taking part in our ski visit in February 2017. We shall be going to ski in Colorado, USA at the Winter Park Resort. Please find below all the details regarding the visit.

The dates The visit will take place during February half term 2017. We shall depart from school on Saturday 11 th February and shall return on Sunday 19th February. Instalments

The resort of Winter Park Winter Park has the most dependable snow of all Colorado's major resorts, with an amazing average of nearly 370 inches a season - 10 meters - a lot of snow! Winter Park is also the closest major ski resort to Denver, which is only 67 miles away. The 30-acre "Discovery Park" is an excellent area for beginners who can learn the fundamentals in a controlled, sectioned-off area. Once up and running, Winter Park offers mile after mile of wide open intermediate slopes, perfect for fine tuning your technique! Every standard of skier gets maximum enjoyment. Winter Park offers everything to make a memorable ski course an outstanding one - great snow, plenty of sunshine, a big, varied ski area and easy accessibility.

The accommodation We shall stay in the 4 star Winter Park Mountain Lodge. Rooms sleep 4 students, sharing 2 queen beds; all rooms have en suite facilities. It will be on a half board basis with a full hot buffet breakfast and evening meals taken in the hotel. The hotel has excellent facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, fitness room and games arcade. It is situated just a 2 minute shuttle ride from the base of slopes.

A full British passport. Please note that for entry to the USA, a passport must have a minimum of 6 months validity. $14 ESTA charge (US visa) Drinks with meals, other than breakfast. Lunches & meals en route. Ski clothing – we arrange for a ski wear hire company to visit the academy in the autumn before the visit. Spending money. A pre-visit lesson (total beginners only) at the Tamworth Snowdome.

The following payment schedule sets out the recommended payment dates however this does not have to be followed as long as the final payment is received by 11th November 2016. All payments must be made via ParentPay. Deposit 1 - £150 To be paid as soon as possible, places being allocated strictly on a first come, first served basis. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposit 2 - £100 To be paid by 30th October 2015. Please note that this second deposit is also non-refundable and nontransferable. Deposit 3 - £200 To be paid by 18th December 2015 Deposit 4 - £175 To be paid by 12th February 2016 Deposit 5 - £175 To be paid by 8th April 2016 Deposit 6 - £175 To be paid by 27th May 2016 Deposit 7 - £175 To be paid by 15th July 2016 Deposit 8 - £175 To be paid by 16th September 2016 Deposit 9 and final payment - £185 To be paid by 11th November 2016

How to book As usual, we have limited places and these places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. To secure a place on the visit for your son or daughter, please make payment of the deposit and future payments via ParentPay and complete the attached booking form returning it to me at the academy or via email on [email protected] (Digital versions of this letter are available on the website). However, before you do this, it is important to read the booking conditions and cancellation charges and sign to confirm that you have done so and that you agree to abide by them. The following cancellation charges will apply: ❖ The first and second deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. ❖ If you cancel your booking more than 70 days prior to departure you will lose your first and second deposits. ❖ If you cancel between 35 and 69 days before the departure date you forfeit 65% of the total holiday price (£987.50) ❖ If you cancel between 15 and 34 days before the departure date you forfeit 75% of the total holiday price (£1133) ❖ If you cancel between 8 and 14 days before the departure date you forfeit 90% of the total holiday price (£1359) ❖ If you cancel 7 days or less before the departure date you forfeit the full price of the holiday (£1510) Please note that a cancellation must be put in writing to me and also that cancellation charges will be based on the date I receive the cancellation letter.
