Growth Mindset Celebration of learning this week Tadpoles (Reception)
Zebras (Year 1)
This week the Tadpoles have explored mixing colours and tried to create their own rainbow. They are hoping for more rain as they would like the whole playground to be covered in different colours!
This week we have been enjoying solving different problems in Maths. We used instruments to help us think of different codes for King Lazybones to help him call his servants. We also looked at trying to find a safe route for Little Red Riding Hood across the wood to get to Granny’s house without going near the Wolf’s Den.
Penguins (Year 3) Giraffe (Year 2)
Penguins News!
This week in giraffe class we have designed our own sea creatures using parts of existing sea creatures for inspiration. We have painted pictures of our creatures, created clay models and written detailed descriptions of them. We then invited classes to come and view all of our work in our own sea creature exhibition
This week in Science we looked at the skeleton and muscles. We found out some fascinating facts such we have 650 muscles in our bodies! We also labelled a skeleton with the names of the different bones.
Growth Mindset Celebration of learning this week Eagles (Year 5)
This year in Eagles we have studied many different topics but we enjoyed Scream Machine and Gallery Rebels the most. We really loved learning about the opportunities at University and our trips to UWE and Dorcan were fantastic. One of our favourite days was Victorian day, we loved the fact that Casey was ‘caned’. This week we loved all our science lessons but the best part was when Miss Mansell was sprayed with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in the face. We have had an amazing year. We hope Miss Mansell will have a fabulous future but she won’t have a class as great as us!
Tigers (Year 6) On Thursday, Tiger Class had a picnic on the field with their parents. The children performed a short play about their best memories at Nythe and showed the maypole dances that they had learnt. Thank you to all of the parents who came and joined in, we really enjoyed it!
