Rob Cross 2009 Ohio Valley Conference Our coaching staff and players have enjoyed success at every level of competition (high school, AAU, college, professional). We attribute our success to understanding the fundamental basics of basketball and our commitment to a team atmosphere. This camp is designed to enhance your individual skills while developing the ability to work well with others. Campers will receive personal attention, gain knowledge of the game, and learn techniques that will continue to improve their game once they leave Murray State. In addition, we hope to instill our desire and love of basketball to each and every camper. There will be opportunities to interact with the Racer Women’s Basketball team and coaches, and participate in various competitions with each other. Be ready to work, but most importantly be prepared to have fun and learn skills that will continue to enhance your game long after you leave.
POLICIES Once a camper registers they will receive additional information: directions to the Regional Special Events Center for registration, a medical release form, and workshop information. Participants must obey camp rules. If a participant is expelled because of disobedience the camp fee is not refundable.

Coach of the Year In his first season at the helm of the program, Coach Cross was named the Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the year after leading the Racers to a 16-2 mark in the OVC and earning the team’s first OVC regular-season title. Murray State earned its third-straight trip to the postseason when the team advanced to the Second Round of the WNIT, earning the schools second postseason victory. As a recruiting coordinator Cross has been responsible for recruiting and coaching players who have earned 26 All-Ohio Valley Conference awards at Murray State. Among those players are the Racer’s back-to-back-to-back OVC Players of the Year Joi Scott (2007) and Ashley N. Hayes (2008 & 2009), and 2008 All-OVC Tournament Team members Amber Guffey (2008 MVP & 2009) and Shaleea Petty, as well as 2002 OVC Freshman of the Year Rebecca Remington, and the only Racer ever drafted by an American professional league, Stacy Holmes.

SCHEDULE Registration will be held in the CFSB Center between 8-8:30 am on Monday, June 25th. Camp will begin at 9:00 am. Campers will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. the last day of camp.

INSURANCE All Women’s Basketball Camps are covered by a group accident insurance policy. A medical release form signed by the parents must be submitted at check-in. Allergies and other physical problems should be indicated on the form.
