2013 Malosky Stadium Tailgating Welcome: All of us at the University of Minnesota Duluth hope you enjoy the fun, excitement, pageantry and spirit associated with a Bulldog home football game. We want to continue to foster the great gameday atmosphere for all who will be visiting our campus. Please help us keep the fan experience special, safe and courteous by adhering to the information below. Thank you for your support and GO BULLDOGS! Tailgating & Cost: The University of Minnesota Duluth permits tailgating in designated parking lots only. Lot C (directly in front of Malosky Stadium) is a paid tailgating ($10 per car/$40 per RV) lot which requires a vehicle pass. Lot G (across from Lot C) is also designated as tailgating ($5 per car/$20 per RV). Designated handicap parking is available for those with passes free of charge.
Hours: Tailgating is restricted to the following times: • Tailgating may begin three (3) hours before game time. • Tailgating must end one (1) hour after game time, or 10:00 pm, whichever comes first. All tailgating supplies must be properly disposed of, recycled or stored in a vehicle. Disposal containers will be provided in the tailgating lot for supplies. Vehicles may remain in the parking lot until the lot closes at midnight.
Tailgating Rules The following items and activities are allowed in lots: • • • • •
Gas grills with a maximum propane cylinder size of 20 pounds (small charcoal grills) Consumption of alcoholic beverages by persons of legal drinking age, and in conformance with all applicable state laws, city ordinances, and University policies. (No Glass Bottles) Portable outdoor furniture Tents and awnings that do not require the use of stakes, block adjacent parking spaces, or impede drive aisles Portable generators or propane (“sunflower”) heaters
The following items and activities ARE NOT ALLOWED in lots: • • • • • • • • •
SMOKING (UMD is a smoke-free campus) Kegs, party balls, drinking game accessories, or large quantity or common source containers of alcoholic beverages Glass containers of any kinds, including bottles and cups Open fires Couches or large furniture items Promotional or marketing activities without prior and appropriate authorization from UMD Sale of products, food or beverage Occupying more than one parking space (unless the additional space was purchased) & No large parties Obstructing adjacent parking spaces, drive aisles or reserved spaces
