Our Viansa Classic series is a collection of varietal favorites that the Sonoma Valley is famous for, like our classically Californian Zinfandel. VINTAGE & VINEYARD The 2013 growing season in the Sonoma Valley featured steady temperatures from the onset, helping our fruit on the vine to ripen evenly resulting in a large, full-flavored vintage. Our 2013 Zinfandel is true to vintage, with vibrant fruit and excellent structure. TASTING NOTES This wine opens with lively aromas of black cherry, blackberry and boysenberry with secondary notes of distinctive pepper and spice. The oak is toasty and is framed by sturdy flavors of smoke and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is big and rich with a substantial finish. PERFECT PAIRINGS Zinfandel has juicy fruit character which makes it a delicious compliment to BBQ spare ribs and spicy pastas. This is a wine that can stand up to more exotic spices often found in Moroccan, Mexican or Southwest foods.
