2014 NCAA Division II Central Super Regional At A Glance

Fifteen-time national champion Central Oklahoma is the host institution for the NCAA Division II Central Super Regional, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2014 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships. The top five placers from each of the 10 weight classes advance to the national tournament, set for March 14-15 in Cleveland, Ohio. Three other regionals are being held this weekend -- the East at Pittsburgh-Johnstown, the Midwest at Tiffin and the West at Colorado Mesa. The East and West regionals qualify three wrestlers at each weight, while the Central and Midwest advance five for a total of 160 individual qualifiers.

Rugged Regional

The 17-team Central Super Regional is undoubtedly the toughest of the four regionals being contested around the

Tournament Schedule

The regional gets underway at 10 a.m. Friday with championship pigtail and first-round matches followed by conso-

lation pigtail and first-round matches. The championship quarterfinals and second round of consolations will begin at 5 p.m. The tournament resumes at 9 a.m. Saturday with the championship semifinals and consolation quarterfinals followed by the consolation semifinals. First-, third- and fifth-place matches are set for 1 p.m. An awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the tournament.
