2014 SPARTAN FOOTBALL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Norfolk State University plays its home football contests in the spacious William “Dick” Price Stadium, named for former NSU Athletics Director, Head football and track Coach Dick Price. Built in 1997, Dick Price Stadium has a seating capacity of 30,000, and is recognized as one of the largest sports and entertainment venues in Hampton Roads. It is also one of the largest Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA) on-campus stadiums in the United States.
2014 SPARTAN FOOTBALL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Pete Adrian was named the 16th head coach in Spartan football history on Jan. 19, 2005. He said that Norfolk State was a gold mine waiting to be discovered. After nine seasons at the helm of the program, Adrian’s words have proved to be prophetic. He has guided NSU to numerous victories, including winning the 2011 MEAC Championship. He is currently the third-winningest coach in Spartan history. Coach Adrian has also presided over a program which has recorded the school’s first four winning seasons as a Division I program.
