Application Instructions Please complete the attached application form to apply for the ULEED Community Scholarship and submit it by April 17, 2015. Late applications will not be accepted.
Scholarship Description The ULEED Community Scholarship Program furthers the organizations’ core purpose of providing educational opportunities to young adults committed to pursuing a degree in any major. Through the Community Scholarship program, ULEED seeks to increase the number of young adults seeking a career by awarding qualified students with financial support to further their education. Through this scholarship, ULEED hopes to increase the number of young adults obtaining accredited educational skills that will offer them career options. This scholarship program consists of three scholarships this year the Tomorrow’s Leader Scholarship; the Lourdes Rodriguez Scholarship and the Saturnino Oquendo “Future Negociantes” Scholarship. The awarded scholarships will be sent to the approved educational institution that the applicants have been accepted to and will attend.
Requirements To Apply (Note: 2014 scholarship recipients are not eligible to re-apply until 2016.)
Must be between the ages of 18-25 Must reside in the Chicagoland area (Proof of residency is required in order to receive funds) Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D. Commit to 20 hours of community service with the ULEED Organization if award is received Must be accepted or currently attending a community college, university, and/or a trade school (1) letter of recommendation from an individual with knowledge of the applicant (3) page essay answering the (4) questions listed on Page 4 of this application
