I’d be remiss if I did not first take this opportunity to thank Coach Audino for all he has done for me, this program, and the Gridiron Club that he helped build. It was an incredible experience to play for John, and working with him to grow the Gridiron Club to new heights in recent years has only added to the respect and admiration that I have for him. His dedication, charisma, and leadership will certainly be missed. On behalf of myself, my fellow board members, all former players, coaches, and friends, thank you, John, from the bottom of our hearts. With respect for the past, it is also an exciting time to be a Union College Dutchman, as we usher in a new era in our program’s storied history. Over the past several weeks, the board of the FDGC and I have worked closely with Coach Behrman to identify the tools and personnel he needs to succeed. This has provided us with an opportunity for self-reflection as a booster club. This group was founded on the principle of providing and enhancing the environment for the players, alumni, and supporters with friendship, entertainment, and a quality football atmosphere throughout the year. We have ironed out how your financial support will be appropriated, I assure you that our decisions will be made in the best interest of the players, coaches, and the product they put forth on the field. I encourage everyone to come out to our events in Boston, New York City, Connecticut, and on campus this spring to meet Coach and learn about the new and exciting initiatives we are taking on as a club. As always, and maybe now more than ever, your support is greatly needed and very much appreciated. Thank you to everyone who participated last year and those who plan to get involved in 2016.
