2016 Friday Night Duals Cal State Fullerton – Cal State Bakersfield – New Mexico State – Pepperdine – UNLV – NAU Practice Schedule – The Skydome will not available for pre-meet session January 21st. If you need space for pre-meet, please contact [email protected] with your request. Scoring: We will score this as multiple dual meets: 5-3-2-1 (2 athletes per team scoring per event), 5-3 (one relay team scoring per team. *Due to dual scoring, all track events will be run as timed finals. Team Seating Area – NO TEAM CAMPS ON THE TRACK OR BASKETBALL STANDS Team seating will be available on the west side of the dome - rows 11 or higher. Athletic Training - may set up behind the stands on the concourse. NAU Athletic Training will have modalities set up on infield for use. Warm-Up Area - Warm-ups must take place on the concourse of the Walkup Skydome. Check-In Procedures Field Events Field event athletes may check-in at their event 90 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time or at the completion of the previous event. If, by the start of the event, an athlete has not checked in, he/she will be scratched from the competition. Track Events Track athletes must check in 30 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of their race, where they will be asked to return 10 minutes prior to the start of their event. Athletes will have access to the track 30 minutes prior to the start of their race, provided there is no race being run. Athletes must be checked in 10 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of their race or risk being scratched from the competition. *Check-ins will occur by the elevator on the southeast side of the track. Entrance/Exit to Track/Field Athletes may only enter by the stairwell located at the southeast corner of the dome. Athletes may exit by either stairwell on the south end of the track. Athlete Wristbands/Trainer Wristbands: Wristbands will be provided for athletes, trainers and field event coaches. No one will be allowed on the infield without a wristband. Coaching Boxes COACHES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE TRACK. Coaching boxes will be available for the field events. Coaching Boxes will also be made available in the first row of seats for all events. Spike Check: ¼ inch pyramid or ¼ inch Christmas tree spikes only. Head Phones/Cell Phones: No Head Phones or Cell Phones will be allowed on the track. Field Event Finals: Each athlete will get 3 jumps/throws. We will then advance the top 9 to finals for 3 more jumps/throws. 60m and 60 hurdle Finals: Will be run as a timed final, there will be no Pre-Lims. Implement Certification/Schedule – Friday 1:00PM – 3:00PM All implements will be certified at the throwing venue. All certified implements will be impounded and made available during the allotted warm-up time. Any implements that do not pass certification will be held until the conclusion of the specified event.
