The registration fee, along with certificate of insurance (US Lacrosse or other), and Waiver/Release forms and Rosters for each club are due by April 6th, 2016. T-SHIRTS Shirts will be available for purchase via Team pre-order for $7 each, or $10 on the day of the event. Please provide interest via email and an order form will be provided.
MAIN FIELD SITE INFORMATION Stony Ridge Park- 50 Bernheisel Bridge Rd, Middlesex, PA A smoke-free and alcohol-free park. No pets allowed. Plenty of parking & team tent area. 3+ fields plus warm-up areas. Additional field locations may be utilized and will be clearly communicated prior to the start of the event. Full concession stand providing breakfast sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and other food, snacks & drinks.
DIRECTIONS From Rt. 81 North or South: Mechanicsburg exit 57. Take Route 114 East (from the south, turn right, from the north, turn left). Continue to Rt. 11, Carlisle Pike and turn right (at Sheetz). Proceed past CV High School to the light at Ridge Hill Road (Speedway will be ahead on your right). Turn right onto Ridge Hill Road. Make a left onto Bernheisel Bridge Road. Park and fields will be on your right. From 581: Use exit #3 Carlisle Pike Rt. 11. Turn Right on US 11. Go 6.4 miles (past CV High School) to red light at Ridge Hill Road. Turn right onto Ridge Hill Road. Make a left onto Bernheisel Bridge Road. Park and fields will be on your right.
GAME FORMAT AND RULES
FIRST GAMES TO BEGIN NO EARLIER THAN 9 AM. EACH TEAM WILL PLAY FOUR GAMES DURING THE TOURNAMENT.
ALL GAMES WILL START ON THE HOUR AND WILL BE 20 MINUTE RUNNING HALVES WITH A 5 MINUTE HALFTIME.
AT LEAST 15 -MINUTE BREAK BETWEEN GAMES.
EACH TEAM ALLOWED ONE (1) 30-SECOND TIME OUT PER HALF – NO STOPPAGE IN GAME TIME. NO TIMEOUT IN LAST 2 MINUTES OF GAME.
FOUR GOAL RULE WILL BE IN EFFECT. NO FACE OFF IF ONE TEAM LEADS BY 4 OR MORE GOALS. THE BALL WILL BE GIVEN TO THE TRAILING TEAM AT MIDFIELD.
NO OVERTIME – GAMES MAY END IN A TIE.
HORNS/TIME KEEPING
ALL GAMES WILL START WITH A SINGLE LONG BLAST FROM THE CENTRAL HORN.
2 SHORT BLASTS WILL INDICATE 2 MINUTES REMAIN IN FIRST HALF.
1 LONG BLAST WILL INDICATE THE END OF THE FIRST HALF.
1 LONG BLAST WILL INDICATE THE START OF THE SECOND HALF.
2 SHORT BLASTS WILL INDICATE 2 MIUNTES REMAIN IN THE GAME.
1 LONG BLAST WILL INDICATE THE END OF THE SECOND HALF.
SPORTSMANSHIP THIS TOURNAMENT IS ABOUT FRIENDSHIP AND GROWING THE GAME OF LACROSSE THROUGH SPORTSMANSHIP. ANY PLAYER, COACH OR FAN EJECTED FROM A GAME OR A FIELD DURING THE TOURNAMENT FOR FIGHTING OR UNSPORTSMANLIKE BEHAVIOR WILL BE PROHIBITIED FROM BEING ON OR NEAR THE PLAYING FIELDS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DAY.
IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING RULES, THE REFEREE'S DECISION ON THE FIELD WILL BE THE FINAL RULING.
WAIVER & RELEASE FORM ASSUMPTION & RELEASE OF LIABILITY: Contact sports are inherently dangerous. The undersigned ("Participant") hereby: (1) assumes risk of personal injury, property damage, and/or other loss (collectively "injuries") to the Participant arising from or related to activities in the CV Friendship Tournament in New Kingston, PA; (2) releases Cumberland Valley Youth Lacrosse Club, and their agents, employees, staff members, officers, directors and members from all liability, claims, and responsibility for injuries to Participant; (3) releases Cumberland Valley Youth Lacrosse Club from any good faith acts or omissions in emergency situations. I represent that I am over the age of 18 or a parent/guardian of the minor named below, and agree that the grant and release contained therein bonds me and the minor below of all its terms. PARENT'S WAIVER: I, the undersigned, certify that my child, named adjacent to my signature, has my permission to participate in the games and related activities of the CV Youth Friendship Tournament. I acknowledge and understand that lacrosse is a dangerous sport and there is a possibility of injury to my child. In consideration for my child's participation in the game of lacrosse, I hereby release, acquit, and forever discharge indemnity, and hold harmless from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action for liability, for damages arising out of, or in any way related to my child's participation in the CV Friendship Tournament, Cumberland Valley Youth Lacrosse Club, and all of their officers, directors, tournament representatives, employees, agents, volunteers and representatives. NOTICE: Cumberland Valley Youth Lacrosse Club do not supply any form of medical coverage. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the participating teams/individuals.
