2017 MISSOULA MAJOR BASEBALL CITY TOURNAMENT of CHAMPIONS Rules & Information 1.
DATES
June5 - 6 - 7 - 8 If there are rainouts, the tournament dates will be extended until play has been completed.
2.
LOCATION
Please check attached schedule.
3.
TIMES
All games begin at 6:00 p.m.
4.
FIELDS
Each league is responsible to ensure that fields are in shape to play assigned games, to include foul lines, batter box, etc.
5.
EQUlPMENT
Each league is responsible for providing necessary bases, umpire gear (if necessary), and other equipment to play games assigned to their fields . PA Systems and flags are optional to the league hosting the games. Each team needs to supply two (2) new game balls for each game.
6.
CONCESSIONS
The responsibility of the host league and all profits remain with each league.
7.
UMPIRES
Will be assigned by the league where the game is scheduled to be played.
8.
HOME TEAM
Home team will be decided by a flip of the coin before each game. Home team will occupy the third base dugout at all fields.
9.
WARM-UPS
Visitors will take the field for warm-ups at 5:30; home team with take the field at 5:40. The pre-game meeting will take place at home plate at 5:50.
10.
SCOREKEEPERS
Each home team will provide a qualified scorekeeper & pitch-count keeper.
11.
PUBLICITY
This will be the responsibility of the WINNING TEAM MANAGER. Scores for each game must be emailed to Jodi Rodoni at [email protected] as soon as possible after the game.
12.
RULES
Little League Major Baseball Regular Season Rules will be used. Be sure you understand these going into tournament play. Continuous batting order will be used.
13.
SPORTSMANSHIP
Remember, this is supposed to be a FUN tournament!
14.
NEXT GAME
The winning team shall take the game score sheet and pitch count sheet to their next game. Both sheets shall be signed by the umpire and the pitchers should be clearly indicated.
