Oliver Aitchison Adams State, Sr. Farnham, England Aitchison began his outdoor season with a 800m title at the San Francisco State University Distance Carnival on April 1st. His time of 1:48.99 is an auto mark and ranks 2nd nationally. Aitchison is fresh off an All-American indoor season in the mile and DMR
Alicja Konieczek Western, Jr. Zsrit Powodowo, Poland Konieczek moved up an event in distance for just the second time in her career in the 5,000. The junior ran sub-16 minutes for her heat win at the Stanford Invite, running 15:59.22. Her time is first in the nation and third in school history.

Mel Herl Chadron State, Gr. Eaton, Colo. Herl hit two automatic qualifying marks at Sunday’s Tom Benich Invitational at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. She threw the hammer 59.68 meters (195-10), some 3.5 feet farther than the school record she set two weeks ago. She also recorded a new school discus record of 53.14 meters (174-4), breaking the mark of 170-0 that she used to place fourth at the NCAA Division II National Championships in 2015. In addition, the 2017 national indoor shot put champion hit 50 feet in the shot for the first time ever outdoors, putting up a provisional mark of 15.29 meters (50-2). Herl took first in the discus and shot, while finishing third behind a pair of Division I athletes in the hammer throw.
The senior won the CSU-Pueblo Open triple jump with a jump of 48-11 3/4. This jump is good for 12th in the nation and the conference lead.

Noah Zorsky Western | Senior Amarillo, Texas Zorsky finished the 2017 Indoor season as an NCAA runner-up in the men’s pole vault. He was also the RMAC Champion and named USTFCCCA and RMAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Year. Last season during outdoor, Zorsky placed fifth in pole vault at the national championships. The four-time All-American will look to better his outdoor personal record of 5.35-meters this year.

Alicja Konieczek Western | Junior Zsrit Powodowo, Poland Konieczek was recently named RMAC Indoor TF Athlete of the Meet, RMAC Track Athlete of the Year, and RMAC Champion in the 800m, Mile and 3000m run. The junior ended her 2017 indoor season, becoming the first-ever Mountaineer to win two national titles in a single indoor track meet. Konieczek won her national titles in the women’s mile and 3000m run.
