Session Focus

CAMP DETAILS

CAMP LEADERS

NPHA preseason camp is set up to get your son/ daughter on the ice with fellow NPHA players and prepare for the upcoming season. Ice Time Each session is 60-75 minutes and will include a session focus, including skating, stickhandling/ shooting and small area games. Skating No matter how good your youth player is they need to continue working on skating and stride development. Fall is a great time to review and work on fundamental skating skills.

Develop stick handling, passing, and shooting skills that will give your player the confidence needed to start the season off on the right foot!

New Prague native, four year starter at the University of Minnesota, drafted in the fifth round (#128 overall) of the 2011 NHL draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. Steve Debus Former University of Minnesota goalie, first-team All-WCHA (1996-97), former Hamline University head women’s hockey coach.

Small area games focus on 1 v 1 battle skills, playing in a small area with quick puck transitions and fast decision making skills needed by today’s players.

Four year starter at the University of Minnesota—Duluth, member of the 1980 Gold Medal Olympic Team, credited with an assist on the game-winning goal against the USSR in the “Miracle on Ice”, current Minnesota State head women’s hockey coach. Chris Harrington Four year starter at the University of Minnesota, one of five players to appear in all 45 games for Minnesota’s 2002-03 National Championship team, currently ranks #9 in career points scored as a defenseman at the U of M. Jimmy Kilpatrick New Prague native, four year starter at Colorado College, played professionally in the USHL, ECHL, AHL, and Europe.
