Camp Staff Wendy Spratt, Director Former Columbia College AllAmerican Wendy Spratt is in her 24th season as head coach of the Columbia College women’s fastpitch softball team in 2018. Spratt enters the season with a career record of 832-392. Spratt assumed full-time duties at Columbia College in June 1994. Since that time, the Cougars have won the American Midwest Conference nine times and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament on 11 occasions. For her efforts, Spratt has been recognized as conference coach of the year six times and region coach of the year four times.

Spratt earned All-America accolades as a shortstop in 1990. She was an All-District 16 performer four times (1987-90), an All Show-Me Collegiate Conference selection twice (1988, 90), a two-time All-SMCC Academic selection (1988, 90) and NAIA Scholar-Athlete. Spratt was voted by her teammates as Columbia College Team MVP after the 1990 season when she set school records for batting average (.480), most hits in a season (83) and most triples in a season (10). Spratt was a member of the 1993 United States women’s fastpitch softball team. She also competed in the 1993 U.S. Olympic Festival. Current and former Columbia College Softball staff and players will also assist with the camp.
Hitting and Fielding Camps are limited to the first 20 registrants.
Pitching camps are limited to the first 10 registrants and must provide their own catcher.

*A $5 discount is available for enrollment of two or more children from the same immediate family. The first child pays the full enrollment and all additional children receive the discount.

Columbia College Softball Camps are designed to teach and enhance the fundamental skills of fastpitch softball for girls ages 7-13. Emphasis will be placed on developing correct mechanics and techniques for the various skills necessary in fastpitch softball. Skills covered in the hitting and fielding camp include throwing, fielding, hitting, and bunting.
