2018 Ptarc February & march activities Firearm Safety & Intro to Sporting Rifle (ages 12-16) A beginner course on rifle shooting and firearm safety. Participants will learn proper safety and techniques when handling firearms as well as skills to hone marksmanship. This course will also prepare those wishing to shoot for the PT Warrior Rifle Team. Ammo and rifle provided. Instructor: Kevin Keller Location: Trafford Sportsmen’s Club 4 Week Session: Thursdays, Feb. 8-March 1 Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm Fee: PTSD Residents $54, Non Resident $62
TRAMPOLINE & FOAM PIT TUMBLING Ages 5-10 Class will utilize in-ground trampolines, tumble tracks and foam pits. Great fun for beginners learning new tricks and the more experienced tumblers to perfect their skills. SPRING TRAINING Ages 3-8 Kids have a blast and hone their baseball skills for the upcoming season! Players receive instruction from Jump Start Sports coaches in batting, fielding, and base running. Then they play fun games to practice the skills they have learned. LITTLE HOOPSTERS BASKETBALL Ages 4-7 Instructional and recreational basketball program where players are taught the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting, positioning, defense, and rebounding in a funoriented program. Please bring a basketball and wear gym shoes. Instructor: Mark Matthews Location: Level Green Multi-Purpose Room Time: Monday, 6:00-7:00 pm—-6 Week Session: February 26-April 16 (no class 3/19 or 4/2) Fee: PTSD Residents $44, Non-Residents $52
VOLLEYBALL Ages 6-15, Grades 1-6 Explore the instructional fundamentals of volleyball through action-packed sessions designed to teach basic skills to beginning players. Participants learn passing, setting, hitting, blocking and serving as well as basic offense, defense, positioning, and team strategy. Kneepads are recommended but not required. Whether your child is an experienced player or a complete novice, they will have a blast learning about the sport in this fun and innovative program!
