Alexandra Mitchell is the President of Pathfinder Solutions. She has a Master’s in Public Administration, credentials for secondary school teaching, and 25+ years of experience in various fields. These fields include program development, teaching and training, and providing consultation for organizational capacity building and research services. Alex has not only traveled, but has lived extensively all over the world. As a result, she has cultivated a strong multi-cultural background, has an enormous interest in international affairs, is tri-lingual with dual citizenship, and possesses both US and EU passports. She has exposed herself to both urban and rural settings across the US nation and continues to broaden her horizons as much as possible. Alex has directed projects for various organizations such as the Council on Foundations, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the National Center on Aging. She presents regularly at national conferences and has taught at Regis University as well as in the Graduate School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado. Harvard University Law School, the Council on Foundation, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration are all publishers of her written work. An important aspect to understand about Alex is that she has always been particularly interested in providing authentic support for underserved populations from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds by fostering positive and tangible outcomes. Her passion is to learn and grow by taking the road less traveled. Alex’s awards of recognition include: The Thousand Points of Light Award, California’s Golden Bell Award, and a State Department of Justice award for a model Youth Crime and Violence Prevention program.
