CAMP INFORMATION
June 12 to 15, Monday to Thursday (All ages 7-17) June 19 to 22, Monday to Thursday (All ages 7-17) July 24 to 27, Monday to Thursday (Age 7 thru entering the 7th grade only)
GENERAL INFORMATION
Meals:
Lunch is included in the cost of the camp and will be served in the Perch at Sutherland Hall.
Discounts: A camper may only receive one $30 discount per session. A $30 discount will be given to University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, Carlow University, Chatham University and UPMC employees (a copy of staff/faculty ID required with this application). $30 discount for each family member if two or more family members from the same household attend camp. A $30 discount for each session for any camper who attends more than one session. A $30 discount for each camper for any group of five or more who attend the same camp session (applications must be sent together in the same envelope). $320-$30 = $290
Insurance: Limited insurance coverage is offered on an “excess” basis only. Under the terms of this policy, this coverage is considered excess to all other valid and collectible medical insurance policies. Most notable would be parental insurance coverage as an eligible dependent. An athletic trainer will be present at all camp sessions. Hydration: Gatorade sponsored beverage stations. Free Nike camp t-shirt.
Enrollment: Pitt Basketball Camp is open to boys ages 7-17. Space is limited in order to provide intensive individualized attention for each camper. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Confirmation: If you do not receive a confirmation letter one week prior to the start of a camp session, please call the men’s basketball office at 412-648-8350 to ensure enrollment and that payment was received.
Camp Features: Individual instruction, Pittsburgh Panther players as counselors, Nike camp t-shirt, camp basketball, campers grouped by grade and ability, outstanding lectures, team and individual awards.
Coaching Staff: Kevin Stallings and the Pitt coaching staff, who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge. Also working with the camp will be current and former Panther players as well as some of the best high school and college coaches in the area.
Camp Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration: Starts on the first day of camp from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Check In: Petersen Events Center, Concourse A
MEDICAL RELEASE Parent’s Consent: The undersigned, being a parent or legal guardian of the child requesting camp admittance, does hereby affirm that the applicant is in good health and suffers from no illness, disability, or condition that requires the taking of medication on a regular basis unless that condition is disclosed and approved. Furthermore, the undersigned has no knowledge of any reason the applicant cannot participate in rigorous physical activity. The undersigned hereby expressly agrees to be responsible for any medical bill incurred in the treatment of any illness or accident. In the event of any such accident or injury, I hereby consent to allowing any of the camp supervisors to procure any medical treatment deemed advisable on behalf of my child or ward without prior consent. I understand that as a condition of admittance as a camper, the undersigned on behalf of all parents and guardians, and on behalf of the applicant, hereby releases the Kevin Stallings Pitt Panthers Basketball Camp, The University of Pittsburgh, Kevin Stallings, and all other employees or agents of the camp from any and all liability from injury or illness, mental or physical, suffered by the camper during or related to camp unless caused by willful or gross negligence by the person or entity whom the claim is made.
