December 10, 2014 Dear Oregon Dairy Producers and Guests, We invite you to join us for the Annual Oregon Dairy Farmers Convention to be held at the Salem Conference Center. Scheduled for February 23-24, 2015, this year’s gathering will present a host of dairy-related seminars, informative sessions, and an engaging slate of speakers and specialists who will cover current industry topics. You’ll learn first-hand about the latest in farm products and supplies from our many industry sponsors and vendors, whose support make our convention possible. A featured highlight will be our keynote inspirational speaker Chad Hymas, Author of Doing What Must Be Done. Economist Gary Sipiorski will delve into on-farm finances and the economics of dairying. Plus…a processor panel will discuss current issues in consumer confidence; our traditional legislative panel will be available for your questions; and hot topics will provide a town hall for your thoughts ideas, and input on a range of current issues. As always, the Oregon Dairy Women will host their ever-lively annual scholarship auction, in addition to their annual meeting. We’d also like to note a change beginning this year. Overall, convention expenses have increased significantly the last few years, especially in our meal costs. To help with these increased expenses, we have added a $25 registration fee for each Oregon Grade A dairy (not per individual). Please note, as has been our practice over the past several years, the Oregon Dairy Farmers Association and Oregon Dairy Products Commission will continue to cover all meal costs for up to two people affiliated with each Oregon Grade A Dairy. Meals for additional participants may be purchased as before. Also, the registration fee for non-Oregon producer participants remains the same. You will need to arrange your own accommodations, as noted in this flyer. The Grand Hotel adjacent to the Salem Conference Center is offering reduced rates. Accommodations may fill quickly, so please register and reserve your room today. We look forward to seeing you in February and to another successful Convention year.

Sincerely,

Chris Eggert, President Oregon Dairy Farmers Association

Warren Chamberlain, Chairman Oregon Dairy Products Commission
