The World God Created
Read Psalm 19:1 and Romans 1:20.
God existed before the world began. God used His knowledge to create the world. God carefully planned the world we live in. The world did not just happen. God put everything in the right place. Many things we do need to be planned, too. Special things require special planning. Once a boy planted a garden in his backyard. In his garden the boy planned to grow radishes, carrots, and lettuce. Before the boy planted his vegetable seeds, he dug the rows in the shape of his own name. In these rows the boy sowed his radish, carrot, and lettuce seeds. By and by, the seeds began to grow. The boy called a friend to see his garden. “See, my name is growing in the garden,” said the boy. The friend was very impressed and asked, “Did your name just happen to grow by itself in the garden?”
Section 1 | 5
GOD’S KNOWLEDGE | Unit 2 “Oh, no. I had to plant the seeds to make the letters of my name. My name did not just happen. I planned it that way,” replied the boy. With His knowledge, God planned and created the world in which we live. We know that God has this knowledge, and that He can do anything. God made the world, and God put everything in its right place.
Complete this activity. Have you ever seen footprints left in the wet ground? The footprints tell you someone was there before you. God left “footprints” to show you He created the world. 1.1
Think of some “footprints”, things God created and write them on the footprints below.
Read Genesis 1:1–31; 2:1-3. These verses tell you that God created our world. The verses tell you the order in which the different parts of the world were created.

GOD’S KNOWLEDGE | Unit 2
God’s Love to People
Read Matthew 6:25–34.
God loves you. You know that God loves you because He made you. You know the God loves you when you realize He understands you and cares for you. You know that God loves you because He uses His knowledge to help you. God made you. After God had made the earth, God took dust from the earth. God formed the dust into a man’s body. Then God breathed His own breath into the man. God had made the first living person. When God made men and women and children, He wanted them to live in families that would love and care for each other. God gave you people to love you. God understands you and cares for you. One day Jesus was talking to some people. Jesus wanted the people to know just how much God loves them. Jesus wanted the people to know that God would take care of them. Jesus told the people that God is aware of all their needs. You can read what Jesus said in Matthew 6:25 – 34. God will supply everything that is needed in your life. God will take care of you because He loves you. God uses His Knowledge to help you. Do you sometimes think that you must have more friends to be happy? Would more hours to play, better grades in school, or more exciting activities make you happy? God knows if you need these things. God knows exactly what you need. God’s knowledge covers all parts of your life. When you read the story in Matthew, you realize how much wiser and better God’s knowledge is than human knowledge. Human knowledge might guide a person to want food, clothing, or money for happiness; but God says to first seek righteousness. Jesus said (Matthew 6:33), “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added into you.”
