A Step Ahead. It is far more cost-effective to support normal immune function in dairy cattle than it is to treat health and disease issues. Continuous use of OmniGen-AF® helps support normal immune function, which may lead to better herd health and productivity, as well as greater profitability. Experience the OmniGen-AF® Difference Herd Health and Milk Production OmniGen-AF is a unique and patented product from Phibro Animal Health Corporation that is recommended to be fed to dry, pre-fresh and lactating cows every day to help support normal immune function. In a field study conducted in North America, dairy cows fed OmniGen-AF beginning at dry-off through the first 120 days in lactation, experienced fewer health events and had more Energy Corrected Milk and more Fat Corrected Milk. Holstein cows with a minimum of two complete lactations were selected during late lactation prior to dry-off. Cows were randomly assigned to either the OmniGen-AF fed group
Milk, Butterfat and Milk Protein Changes Milk production, butterfat and milk protein were determined over four monthly test days. Overall, test day milk showed a positive trend. The OmniGen-AF fed cows produced more Energy Corrected Milk and Fat Corrected Milk than the control cows, along with a higher percentage and more pounds of butterfat (see table below).
(180 cows) or the control group that was fed a placebo mix (181 cows).
