AAA SPRING HOCKEY RoughRiders® Academy Spring Development Program Overview
The goal of the RoughRiders® Academy Spring Development Program is to give young players the opportunity to experience elite hockey with experienced coaches while training hard and having fun doing it. Each team will focus on challenging and developing players physically and mentally. All practices will be structured high tempo practices. Each team will compete at two tournaments. TRYOUT / EVALUATION SKATES March 15-17, 2016 Dates and times subject to change The RoughRiders® Academy will select one or two teams per age group for birth years 2002, 2003 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 AAA levels. If you wish to tryout as either a practice or tournament player, but cannot attend the tryout, please contact one of the coaches or Derek Robinson in advance.
Due to high demand, please register early! n
Tryouts will be evaluated by RoughRiders® Academy coaching staff
n
15 – 18 skaters and 2 goalies per level, per team will be selected
n
Younger players may try out for an older team as a travel or practice player with coach approval
n
Practice players will also be selected for each team
n
Tryout fee: $50 (non-refundable)
TOURNAMENTS Carmen Starr Invitational Los Angeles, CA n May 26-30, 2016 n 5 game minimum n tinseltownhockeytournaments.com Colorado Challenge n April 21-24, 2016 n 5 game minimum n www.theiceranch.com PRACTICE FACILITY The Sport Stable NEW Superior, Colorado Projected practice schedule: n April 5 – May 25, 2016 n 14 Practices n Generally two practices/week (One during the week on either Tuesday or Wednesday and one on a weekend morning)
PROGRAM COSTS Team 2002 – 2008 AAA April 5-May 30, 2016 Tournament Player: n $795 (1 time payment due after selection) OR n 3 payments: $395 down, $250 (2x) $895 total Practice Player: n $545 (payment due after selection) n
Fee Includes: Game jerseys and socks Game shells Helmet stickers Practice jerseys All on-ice practices 2 team tournament fees Coaches fees and travel (everything but player travel)
