During word study time, I will show Adam his CAFÉ Spelling Sheet and explain digraphs—one sound, two letters. I will have Adam create a consonant digraph page in his Personal Spelling Dictionary (p. 345). On this page I will have him correctly spell chicken. I will also have him add a vowel digraph page on which he will correctly write board, reading, and cheers. I will address only one concept during each word study session.
