The Diocese of Monmouth is part of the Church in Wales, covering the former County of Gwent. It has over 150 churches, 4000 regular worshippers and employs approximately 70 staff (clergy and officers). The Diocesan Office is based within Newport, with 15 members of staff, who handle the administration, financial and central resources of the Diocese. This includes supporting the 16 Church in Wales Primary Schools within the Diocese, in addition to encouraging and enabling the wider development and growth of church life within all the communities we serve. To provide administrative and secretarial support to Senior Officers (principally the Ministry Area Development Officer, the Director of Education and the Training Officer) To prepare agendas/reports and subsequently attend Diocesan Committees in order to take and prepare minutes Date gathering/data entry in relation to Church Officers, schools, Boards and Committees Be part of a team planning, arranging and facilitating meetings, conferences and training events across the Diocese To handle queries/requests for information from Ministry Areas, schools and the wider public To carry out front of house reception tasks (meeting, greeting, answering phone, signposting callers) Hours: Salary: Annual leave: Reports to:
