AS-831-17 RESOLUTIONOF COMMENDATIONFOR MANZARFOROOHAR
WHEREAS, Manzar Foroohar is retiring after serving as a faculty member in the History Department at Cal Poly for the last 3 decades; and WHEREAS, Manzar Foroohar served as chair of the Cal Poly Faculty Affairs Committee for 8 years and for the last 15 years has served as Statewide Academic Senator; and WHEREAS, Manzar Foroohar has represented Cal Poly on various important statewide committees including the CSUFaculty Affairs, the Advisory Committee on Archives, and the Services to Students with Disabilities Advisory Committee; and WHEREAS, Manzar Foroohar has been a beacon in both the Cal Poly and statewide Senates for the increase of tenure density; and WHEREAS, Manzar Foroohar has been a courageous and tireless voice for shared governance at Cal Poly; therefore be it RESOLVED: That Manzar Foroohar be commended and profusely thanked for her distinguished and loyal service to the University, Cal Poly's Academic Senate, and the CSUAcademic Senate, and be it further RESOLVED: That Cal Poly's Academic Senate wish Manzar Foroohar health, prosperity, and a long and enjoyable retirement.
