The Winnebago Conflict Resolution Center, Inc. What is Elder Mediation?: Elder Mediation is the fastest growing segment of dispute resolution in the nation. Elder mediation can take many forms, including residency conflicts, caregiving, safety, health, estate, finances, and more. Above all, elder mediation protects the quality of life and personal integrity of the elderly. It engages specialized skills for multi-party resolution, appreciating family dynamics, determining capacity to mediate, recognizing potential for abuse, and identifying the risk for loss of benefits based on the outcome. This training will address all of these topics and more!
Who Can Take This Training?: This training is available to anyone interested in Elder Mediation! You do not need to have had a basic mediator training prior to taking this. However, if you are interested in offering elder mediation services, it is recommended that you have either previously taken a basic mediation skills training or register for one within 6 months of taking this Advanced Mediation Training. Rachel Monaco-Wilcox, J.D. Attorney & Mediator Rachel Monaco-Wilcox, LLC Chair & Assistant Professor Justice Program, Mount Mary University Rachel created the first national-standard-compliant training in Elder Mediation in Wisconsin, and has mediated exclusively in elder cases since 2004. She is a frequent presenter and trainer on conflict resolution, aging, and special needs matters. She is a member of the State Bar’s Dispute Resolution Section, and also teaches as Chair of the Justice Program at Mount Mary University in Milwaukee.
Judith Levin Owner & President JCL Mediation Services, LLC WCRC Volunteer Mediator As owner of JCL Mediation Services, LLC, Judith specializes her practice in Elder Care mediations. She is a member of the Wisconsin Association of Mediators and has been mediating since 2003. Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your registration and do so at least two weeks prior to the start of the training, you will only be charged an administrative fee of $50. If you are a confirmed registrant and cancel less than two weeks prior to the start of the training, you are responsible for the entire fee.

Michael is an experienced mediator and trainer of mediators. He has trained hundreds of mediators throughout Wisconsin and around the Country. Michael also teaches conflict resolution, business law, healthcare law, and ethics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He is the President of the Wisconsin Association of Mediators and Chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin.
