11:45 am- 1:15 pm Beyond Which Fork to Use: Dining Etiquette for the Business Professional Professional etiquette is beyond knowing which fork to use. Everything you say and do matters. And perception by others can “make or break” a deal, your career path or a relationship with a prospective donor. Using proper etiquette requires attention to detail – “the devil is in the details.” If you don’t pay attention to how you act, what you say and how you appear, others may assume you do not care and cannot be trusted to meet their expectations – with a project, relationships or money. In the session today, Beyond which Fork to Use: Dining Etiquette for Business Professionals, become reacquainted with the rules for dining while in a business setting. Today’s focus will be on dining etiquette covering the following topics: Basic table manners; Formal table settings and how to navigate; Proper utensil use; Common dining etiquette concern (i.e., passing food, food dislikes/ allergies) and Basics of international dining The Executive Edge is a business etiquette boot camp designed with multiple modules delivered by Mitchell Communications Group addressing such topics as building your personal brand, business social etiquette, dining etiquette and effective business communication. The experience is designed to develop the executive presence needed to succeed in business.
