Anchors Away Newsletter Spring 2015 March Docking: Founder's Day Gathered together in Bolingbroke, GA at Miss Hattie's Kitchen and Bakery, we had a lovely Founder's Day Celebration! We had the pleasure to have in attendance, Mrs. Margaret CohnNewberry, a 50 year member. After our candling lighting ceremony, we spent time getting to know one another and learning those things special to us as Delta Gammas. Lunch was served. After our main course, we visited the bakery and picked out desserts. The items from the bakery were excellent. Special gifts were raffled to closeout the event. It was an extremely memorable day for our sisters.
Labels for Education and Box Tops for Education
In February, we mailed 460 Campbell Labels for Education and 404 General Mills Box Tops for Education! Thank you to everyone who participated. Please continue to clip these. We can mail throughout the year in bunches of 100 so mail them any time to the association address given below. Give them a quick snip so only the labels go into your envelope. "Do Good" Middle GA Alumnae!
June Docking: Picnic and Old Glasses Collection Up next on our schedule and the last docking for this fiscal year is a picnic with our Collegian Delta Gammas. In June, we plan to invite all the Middle GA Delta Gammas that have just graduated or are home for the summer to join us for a picnic. Please be on the lookout for our invitation and please try to be with us on this special day. Remember to bring any old glasses as donations to the Lion's Club. And, bring a few clothing items ready for the donation bin.
