Santa captivated the children by reading a story and singing songs with them.
The chill in the air didn’t stop the crowd from enjoying an evening in Sunday Park. Cookies baked by the Brandermill Woman’s Club were enjoyed with cups of hot chocolate. The tree, standing 12-feet tall, was choreographed dance for the occasion titled “A Holiday Remix.” Santa arrived walking down the path to the pavilion and gathered the children around to read “Rudolph” to them. After the story, Santa pulled from his sack a box full of magical Christmas dust which the children excitedly threw on the tree to bring it to life. Stop by and visit the Community Tree at the Sunday Park pavilion through January 5.

... the Bottoms family of 14309 Long Hill. The family home claimed the title of Grand Prize in the Brandermill Holiday House competition. The home has more than 160,000 lights and is on the Richmond Tacky Lights Tour. The family has added to the display every year. Just follow Long Hill all the way to the bottom of the hill where the cul-de-sac lights up the night. The list of Holiday House winners are available online.
