News ~ Thank you to all of the families who were able to driver and/or chaperone our first field trip to Dave’s Pumpkin Patch in Davis last week. The Anemone students had so much fun playing in the hay maze and corn box. They also loved the hay ride to pick their pumpkin and I think the class favorite was the jumping pillow. We would not be able to participate in fun field trips like this one without you!

Thank You… I want to give a big thank you to Effie Orn and Jen Garcia (our Anemone room parents) for helping out with the Harvest Festival. They have sent out email and Facebook reminders to parents, come up with the great idea of a color hair spray booth, and have done everything to set up that booth and make sure it is successful. Thank you both for all of your hard work! I want to give another big thank you to another Anemone parent, Elisa Rudgers who plans and sets up all of our field trips. She has had some great ideas for field trips this year. Dave’s Pumpkin Patch was a blast and I can’t wait to visit some of the other places we plan to go later this year. Thank you Elisa! Also, thank you to all the drivers and chaperones for our field trip to Dave’s Pumpkin Patch last week. Without you all we wouldn’t be able to go on fun field trips like this one. Thank you!
Third graders have been working on their multiplication tables for the last week. With more practice they will keep getting better with their multiplication facts. Read Me!! Please send your child to school in PE appropriate shoes (tennis shoes) every Tuesday. We have PE in the gym and shoes other than tennis shoes will not be allowed in the gym due to the new gym floors getting scuffed.
First graders have been working on addition of multi-digit numbers, up to three digits. Second graders have been focusing on perfecting their dynamic subtraction skills which includes borrowing and carrying.
