Create Your Own Propaganda Poster for Animal Farm

Imagine you are Squealer spreading lies around the farm with your pro-Napoleon propaganda. -Use a strong image to attract the eye and show the positive sides of Animal Farm like Napoleon’s excellent leadership or the success of the windmill. -Use persuasive language to encourage the animals to see Animal Farm in a positive way and avoid any further rebellion. Task 2: Write an A5 rationale for your choices of image and text. Why have you used these images? How are you trying to make the other animals feel? The student has gone into a great deal of detail regarding the poster they have created. They have used a range of persuasive techniques in order to appeal to their target audience and have accurately analysed this in a detailed manner in their rationale.

The student has used a wide range of sentences for effect and has structured their piece of text appropriately for purpose. Their analysis of image and text is expertly structured.

Words are all spelled in an accurate manner and punctuation and grammar are solid, in particular when using difficult sentence forms or vocabulary.

Challenge

The student has gone into some detail regarding the poster they have created. They have used some persuasive techniques in order to appeal to their target audience although could have used more and have analysed this to some extent in their rationale.

The student has understood simple sentence demarcation and paragraphing although has at times not used this to its full potential. Their analysis of image and text is reasonably structured.
