Anne Arundel County, Maryland October 17, 2015 Dear Coaches: As you develop your Cross Country season plans, we would like your schools to consider joining us October 17, 2015 for our Southern High School Invitational at Homestead Gardens and Rossback Farm, sponsored by Southern High School Cross Country Team, Homestead Gardens, and Rossback Farm in Davidsonville, MD, Anne Arundel County. The meet is by special invitation only to a limited group of 2A schools. There will be a 10 School entry limit. The first paid 10 schools will be granted entry. We may expand entries if the total possible number of JV entries does not exceed 100 runners per JV race. Southern HS will follow MPSSAA sanctioning and NFHS Cross Country rules. Early Entry Form Due: August 21, 2015. Early registration fee is $125. Regular Entry Form Due: September 21, 2015. Registration Fee is $150 per school. [email protected] . You will then be given online entry directions for team and runners. Enter all possible athletes. Do not assign any runner to a race. You will determine your athletes at the starting line. No late entries will be allowed. Varsity Race Awards: Top 10 individuals per race. If we have more than 7 schools, there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place team awards for 2015 . Less than 7 schools there will be a 1st and 2nd place team award. Junior Varsity Race Awards: No team Awards. Top 10 finishers receive medals in the finish chute.

No fee is required unless athletes are with spectators. 9:00 AM ‐ Parking open to spectators. Spectator’s entry fee is $10 per car. 9:15 AM ‐ COACHES MEETING AT FINISH LINE IN THE STADIUM 9:15 AM ‐ Course Walk Open ‐ Due to the nature of the 2 loop course, 30 minutes is all that needed. MPSSA POLICY: Only coaches, managers, and athletes registered are permitted on course during course walk and event. 10:00 am ‐ National Anthem 10:05 am ‐ Girls Varsity (top 7) 10:55 am ‐ Boys Varsity (top 7) 11:45 am ‐ Girls Junior Varsity (open) 12:30 pm ‐ Boys Junior Varsity (open) 1:20 pm – Varsity Individual and Team Awards Goal is for all runners to finish within 40 minutes and be off the course.

There is limited parking and it is HIGHLY recommended parents and friends car pool. There will be limited number of Invitational T‐Shirts. Our Booster will sell food and beverages throughout the meet. No On‐Site Dressing Facilities: Porta‐ Potty for Runners, Coaches and Fans Great Food and Refreshments! Roster registration information will be provide after school check and entry is provided. Registration must be completed by 4pm October 1. REMEMBER: You don’t have to decide which runners run which events until start of race, just enter ALL athletes. No additions after October 1. So, please enter all possible athletes during registration whether they are coming or not. No entries after October 1. We are looking forward to seeing you on October 17, 2015.
