LIVING GENEROUSLY PLEDGE CAMPAIGN UPDATE

Epiphany’s Campaign Team would like to thank the thirty-one (31) Epiphany individuals and families who have made a pledge to the General Fund for 2018. To date, we have received pledges totaling $83,656. The average pledge is $2,699.

Epiphany’s Campaign Team would like to thank the thirty-one (31) Epiphany individuals and families who have made a pledge to the General Fund for 2018. To date, we have received pledges totaling $83,656. The average pledge is $2,699.

On Sunday, November 5th, we will ask God’s blessing on our pledge cards at the altar, giving thanks to God for the generous gifts we have already received. If you have not yet completed a pledge card and intend to do so, you may put it in the offering plate, mail it in, or bring it to the office. You may also call your pledge into Epiphany’s Financial Assistant, Charlene Mason, at 256-582-4897, or e-mail your pledge to [email protected].

Put on your favorite costume, grab your friends and come join us for the Holy Ghost Weenie Roast (hamburgers & fixins too), trunk or treat, costume contest, cake walk and games at the annual Epiphany Fall Festival, Wednesday, October 25.

We need YOU to help make this a fun event for everyone by volunteering to decorate Sanderson Hall, decorate your vehicles for trunk or treat, set up and lead the cake walk, donate cakes & cookies and to come and have fun!

On All Saints' Sunday, the names of the members who have died since last All Saint's Day (November 6, 2016) will be included in the Eucharistic Prayer. If you have any additional names to add to this remembrance please let the office know by October 27.

The Altar Guild is taking dedications to remember those saints who have gone on before us. A dedication form is on the counter in the church office or on the table in the rear of the Nave. Each dedication is $5.00. Make your check payable to Epiphany and note in the memo field that it is for All Saints Flowers.

Contact Marsha Babb (256-571-2300 or [email protected]) or Tiffany Martin (256-673-0091 or [email protected]) to see how you can help to make this a fun and successful event. Lots of new fun games and activities throughout the night. Heavy appetizers and Episcopal beverages throughout the evening. All proceeds go to benefit Epiphany’s Outreach Ministry.

Vestry Nominations We will be electing three people and each will serve for three years and be expected to attend all meetings and Vestry Retreats. Diocesan Convention Delegates Nominations The Diocesan Convention will be held in Decatur at St. John’s on February 9 & 10, 2018. We will elect three delegates and two alternates. Convention fees and room expenses for delegates will be covered by the church. Requirements for all Nominees Nominees must be members in good standing, known by the treasurer as givers of record and attend services regularly. We must have the name of the nominee and the person making the nomination in order to be valid. Please check with your nominee before submitting their name to make sure that they are qualified and willing to serve. If you would like to submit a name for nomination please contact the Nominating Team, Grant Armstrong, Dave Burks and Sara Murphree or the church office.
