Our office has reviewed the documentation you submitted regarding the software update and new accessory and conclude that this system continues to meet the applicable standards. The enclosed Certificate of Approval supersedes the certificate 165.210/3/0 dated April 16, 2013. This unit meets the requirements of the applicable International Standards and is certified as follows: The following approval number has been assigned: AP70/AP80 - Heading Control System for High Speed Craft D a t e d : O c t o b e r 20, 2014 165.210/3/0 E x p i r e s : O c t o b e r 20, 2019 This certification remains valid until October 20, 2019 unless our office suspends, withdraws, o r terminates it. The device manufacturer may apply for extension of this certification by writing to our office before it expires. I f the equipment is no longer produced our office continues to consider it certified based on the date o f manufacture, the vessel installation date, and the valid certification for that time period. Yo u cannot transfer this certification t o another manufacturer without written authorization from our office. You must notify our office in writing when you make any change in the design or construction o f the device or when you cease manufacturing the device. Final shipboard acceptance o f the Navico Holding AS, AP70/AP80 Heading Control System for High Speed Craft is based on the installation, materials, and workmanship being to the satisfaction of the cognizant Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection.
