CONSENT AND AUTHORIZATION OF A CANDIDATE For the XII Bishop Diocesan of the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina The Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina is grateful for your willingness to offer yourself as a candidate for Bishop. Trust is essential for the discernment process. The Committee will undertake all aspects of the nomination process with care, and will treat with confidentiality and respect all of the information you provide as part of the nomination and election process. As part of this process, the Committee will undertake a background review by a recognized organization. Additionally, members of the Committee and others may speak to those whose names you provide as references, and to others as appropriate, in order to evaluate your qualifications and fitness to serve as Bishop. The purpose of this Consent and Authorization is to confirm your interest and to obtain consents and releases concerning actions or events that may develop during the nomination and election process.
