No School for Grades 5 – 12 on April 8th. This is CAPS day and students will need to go to the high school, along with a parent, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to decide on a schedule for the next school year. If a student does not attend, he or she will be counted absent for the day.

SPRING PICTURES: 5th & 6th Grades: Spring Pictures, individual and group, will be made April 7th for grades PK – 6. Group pictures must be pre-paid ($10). The individual pictures can be ordered later after receiving a proof. Reminder, no make-up day for Spring pictures – one day only. Group order form envelopes will be sent home with students after Spring Break.

7th & 8th Grades: Spring Pictures and Buddy pictures will be made on

April 14th. This is for 7th – 12th graders. More information will be posted later.

The Magnet Cove Panther Band is having a fundraiser at Larry’s Pizza on Saturday, April 16th, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Come out and support your Panther Band from Beginner to Senior High and enjoy a night out of the kitchen. Cove Steppers Dance Team Try-outs will be held Friday, April 15. Dance clinic will be Monday -Thursday, April 12-14, in the elementary cafeteria immediately after school and lasting until 5:00. A current physical is preferred by the first day of clinic. Any questions see Mrs. Wiley or Mrs. Mabry at the elementary.

TSHIRT DESIGN CONTEST- sponsored by the HS PPO

Design a tshirt design displaying our Panther Pride (include academics, athletics, organizations, etc). It can be a collage, be on front,back or both, computer images or graphic design. Submit your design to the office no later than April 4. The best designs will be narrowed down and the students will vote on their favorite. The winner of the contest will win a free tshirt. The winning shirt will be available for purchase by presale orders. Price will be dependent upon design/colors. To Magnet Cove Middle School Upcoming 6th, 7th & 8th Graders and Parents, We are looking forward to meeting with you Tuesday, April 5th at 5:30 in the Magnet Cove Elementary Cafeteria for all upcoming 6th, 7th & 8th grade orientation and CAPS class scheduling information meeting. We have much to share with you and want to make sure that we address any concerns or questions that you might have at this point in time about the upcoming 2016-2017 school year for your student. The meeting will only last a brief period of time (5:30-6:30). An example of the grade specific CAPS pre-registration course selection form your student will fill out on the day of CAPS conferencing will be made available at the meeting. Please write down anything you wish to discuss at the information meeting and bring it with you and it will be addressed further at the meeting. May 6th Magnet Cove will host a Special Olympics Fun Day! We are looking for Volunteers to help with this event! If you are interested, contact Teresa Dodson at 501-337-6012 or [email protected]. The Annual Panther Pride 5K will be held on May 14th. This year the race will be a "color run" and will be a lot of fun! More information will be coming soon. We need a lot of volunteers! So if you can help in any way, please contact Sherry Adcock ([email protected]) or Charlotte Woods ([email protected]). The Magnet Cove Athletic Department will be charging admission for the 2016 baseball/softball season. Admission will be $5 for K-12 students and adults. AAA and District 2A-5 passes will be accepted. If both teams are playing that day, the $5 admission will get you into both games. Sunni Trail by the baseball field will be blocked, so you may park your vehicle at the elementary parking lot or the parking lot beside the football field. 2015-16 Yearbook: The 2016 Lodestone Yearbooks will be on sale until April 15th. Order forms are in the office. Cost is $45 or $50 with personalization. You may order a yearbook with a minimum down payment of $25 with the balance due on April 15th. You may order online at

A Magnet Cove High School Panther Parent Organization (PPO) is in the process of being established. A MCHS PPO face book page has been created to start the communication process for this group. If you would like to be involved, please join the page or send an email to Sherry Adcock ([email protected]) or Charlotte Woods ([email protected]). A Clothes Closet has been organized for the High School. We could use donations of gently used clothing, new socks, new underwear and personal items (ex. deodorant, body wash, feminine products, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.).
