Harvested timber and floated it downstream.
Raised cattle
Grew wheat, and shipped grain to Naples for milling.
Once railroads arrived, dairying thrived. Cooperative creameries and cheeseries dotted the county.
Bath
Learn how big events such as war, Prohibition and the 1950’s shift from family farms to commercial scale farm affected the local agricultural landscape.
