At 5:31pm the meeting was called to order by Sean Bowman, President, following a silent roll call. CONSENT AGENDA Approve Agenda Approve Minutes of the March 7, 2016 Regular Meeting Approve Payment of Bills Accept $700 Grant from BCBS of Kansas for Royster Middle School Physical Education to use for drum fitness equipment Accept donations from various patrons in the amount of $1000 in remembrance of Deborah Cummings for student lunches at Chanute Elementary School Ross Hendrickson moved to approve the consent agenda. Dr. Nathan Falk seconded. Motion carried. (6-0) OPEN FORUM Phil Chaney addressed the board regarding renovations at Katy Park baseball field

None NEW BUSINESS Backup Server Purchase Ross Hendrickson moved to approve the purchase of the backup server and remote install for $19,000 as presented. Jeff Caldwell seconded. Motion carried. (6-0) (quote in handouts) Cyber Insurance Drone Insurance Mike Aylward moved to approve the Cyber, Privacy and Media Risks Insurance with an annual premium of $6,250 and the Drone Insurance with an annual premium of $1,350 as presented. Brad LaRue seconded. Motion carried. (5-1) Ross Hendrickson abstained. (quote in handouts) 6:38 pm Jeff Caldwell moved to go into executive session to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel, inviting Superintendent Proffitt, and returning to open session in this room at 6:43pm. The executive session is required to protect the privacy interests of the individual(s) to be discussed. Brad LaRue seconded. Motion carried. (6-0) 6:43 pm Reconvene to open session Dr. Nathan Falk moved to extend the executive session until 6:45 pm. Brad La Rue seconded. Motion carried. (6-0) 6:45 pm Reconvene to open session
