Sonance Architectural Series ®
Universal Brackets The Sonance Architectural Series Universal Bracket system provides tremendous versatility for installing Sonance Architectural Series speakers. The Universal Bracket allows Architectural Series speakers to be installed into almost any wall or ceiling construction material, including masonry, plywood, cement board, cinder block, aerated concrete and drywall. The bracket attaches directly to the wall or ceiling material; an included MDF backer board provides sturdy attachment backing when retrofitting the bracket into drywall. Once installed, the Universal Bracket can be adjusted in 2mm increments to accommodate wall material thicknesses from 1/32” (0.8mm) to 1½” (38mm). This adjustment requires no special tools.
Adjustable stud-mount rails (available separately) allow Universal Brackets to be used in standard wood or metal stud new construction. The rails can be field-adjusted to accommodate stud/joist spacings from 12” (305mm) to 24” (610mm). N OTE : U NIVERSAL B RACKETS FOR LARGE SQUARE AND ROUND SPEAKERS REQUIRE A MINIMUM OF 16” STUD / JOIST SPACING. Universal Brackets are available for all three Architectural Series speaker sizes: large*, medium, small, and all three Architectural Series shapes: rectangle*, round and square.
