Ardica  Technologies  produces  extremely  efficient,  mobile  power  solutions  that  serve  the   power  needs  of  any  market,  application  or  device  where  long  mission  times  converge  with   weight  savings.     Since  2004,  Ardica  has  partnered  closely  with  several  U.S.  government  and  commercial   organizations  to  develop  these  solutions.    As  a  result,  we  have  wide-‐ranging  support  from   the  U.S.  military  as  well  as  consumer  electronics,  automotive  and  industrial  handling   companies.    In  terms  of  operations,  we  have  made  a  practice  of  running  Ardica  lean  and   efficiently.    Of  $26M  in  funding  to  date,  more  than  half  has  come  from  non-‐dilutive   government  research  dollars.     Our  first  large-‐scale  sale  is  expected  to  occur  in  late  2016  with  the   U.S.  Army’s  purchase  of  our  Wearable  Soldier  Power  20  system.   Word  of  our  development  success  and  performance  of  that  product   has  spread  and  we  are  now  responding  to  several  public  and  private   sector  opportunities,  sharpening  the  curve  of  our  revenue  ramp.     What  makes  Ardica  even  more  compelling  is  its  extensive  IP  control   over  the  extraordinary  fuel  that  powers  these  systems.    Known  as  Alane,  this  aluminum   hydride  provides  truly  superior  energy  density.    Alane  is  a  stable,  non-‐toxic,  lightweight   powder  that  can  be  used  in  any  orientation,  stored  without  significant  fuel  loss  across  a   wide  range  of  temperatures  and  potentially  recycled.  When  heated  in  a  fuel  cell,  Alane’s   only  output  besides  hydrogen  is  a  minute  amount  of  water  vapor  and  aluminum  powder,   making  it  exceptionally  environmentally-‐friendly.     Alane  is  widely  recognized  as  one  of  the  world’s  most  promising  energy  compounds.  We   have  worked  extensively  with  SRI,  Savannah  Research  Lab,  the   Department  of  Energy  and  others  to  develop  the  chemistry  and  processes   to  substantially  reduce  the  cost,  putting  Alane  on  the  road  towards  use  in   commercial  or  consumer  applications.    Our  strategy  is  to  build  a  strong   fuel  production  capacity  and  adoption  of  our  associated  products  with   enterprise  and  government  organizations  to  achieve  price  targets  that   fully  unlock  the  industrial,  automotive  and  consumer  electronics  markets.     To  accomplish  this,  we  have  surrounded  our  talented  but  small  team  with   an  impressive  ecosystem  of  public  and  private  groups.    Together  we  are   rapidly  advancing  this  technology  into  prime-‐time  use.  We  are  truly   excited  about  Ardica’s  future  and  are  gratified  well-‐respected  global   organizations  are  recognizing  our  potential.
