Attach Clamps to End Legs 1.
Loosen the clamp screw on the Universal Clamp. Leave the clamp arm loosely attached to the clamp base. Place the Universal Clamp Assembly on the Leg Assembly so that the Leg Assembly nests into the INNER groove on the Universal Clamp Assembly (see Fig.1).
2.
Loosely assemble the flat t-nut plate to the Accessory Clamp Assembly using the M6 x 12 screw (see Fig. 2).
3.
Position the Universal Clamp Assemblies and the Accessory Clamp Assembly (see Fig. 3).
4.
Fully tighten the clamp screws on all clamp assemblies.
5.
Retain Tool Rail End Cap for installation of Tool Rail.
6.
If the leg is standing height (ELST models) follow the Tie Rod Kit instruction sheet for the steps necessary to complete this installation.

1.
Loosen the clamp screw on the Universal Clamp. Leave the clamp are loosely attached to the clamp base. Place the Universal Clamp Assembly so that the Leg Assembly nests into the OUTER groove on the Universal Clamp Assembly (see Fig. 1). Repeat for each clamp.
2.
Loosely assemble the flat t-nut plate to the Accessory Clamp Assembly using the M6 x 12 screw (see Fig. 2). Repeat for second clamp.
3.
Position the Universal Clamp Assemblies and the Accessory Clamp Assemblies (see Fig. 3).

M8 x 16 BHCS
Assemble Framework 1.
Starting with an End Leg Assembly, remove the M8 x 16 Button Head Screw from the top of the Universal Clamp. Drop the C-Channel Rail onto the Clamp making sure the stamped boss on the rail lines up with the dimple on the Clamp.
2.
Attach the rail to the clamp by fastening the M8 x16 BHCS through the rail and into the top of the Clamp.
3.
Attach the next leg assembly to this c-channel in the same manner. Depending on the floor plan, this may be either an end leg or middle leg assembly.
4.
Install the remaining C-Channel Rails for this single section, then repeat for each additional section that is added.

T-nut to go into lower channel of Tool Rail
Attach Tool Rails 1.
Slide the Tool Rails onto the Accessory Clamps and T-nut assemblies. Slide the Tool Rail onto the T-nut so that the T-nut is inside the Tool Rail and the tool rail rests on the Clamp Base.
2.
Place End Caps on the ends of the Tool Rails. Secure in place by fastening M4 x 8mm Pan Head Phillips Screw (see Fig. 1).
3.
Making sure the Tool Rails are centered and perpendicular to the legs, tighten all T-nut assemblies.
4.
Confirm tool rail is in a straight line by sighting from the end of the benching setup. Adjust leg assemblies and/or accessory clamps as needed.

Attach Rails 1.
Attach the Terminating Block to the Return Mounting Plate Assembly using (2) M8 x 16 BHCS screws (see Fig. 1).
2.
Attach rail to the Terminating Block using an M8 x 16 BHCS screw as shown in Fig. 2.
3.
Position the Diamond Shaped T Nut as shown in Fig. 3A (perpendicular to the rail) and insert into the underside of the C Channel. Using a 5mm Allen Wrench, tighten the screw, making sure the T Nut rotates into the position seen in Fig. 3B.
4.
For RKB1's, repeat this process on the other end of the rail as well.

Attach Worksurface Extension
1.
Make sure that the Tool Rail End Cap has been removed and replaced with the notched Tool Rail End Cap provided.
2.
Loosen screw on Universal Clamp Assemblies and place them on the End Leg Assembly so that it is resting in the OUTER groove of the Universal Clamp Assembly (see Fig. 1). NOTE: make sure that the Clamp Assemblies are lined up with the Universal Clamp Assemblies already installed.
3.
Using a 5mm Allen Wrench, attach the Cantilever arms to the Universal Clamp Assemblies with the M8 x 16 BHCS screws (see Fig. 1).
4.
Position the Extension Top firmly against the edges of the benching worksurfaces and secure using the #8 x 5/8 panhead screws (see Fig. 2).

Using a 5mm Allen Wrench, attach the Cantilever arms to the Universal Clamp Assemblies with the M8 x 16 BHCS screws (see Fig. 1).

Position the storage firmly against the edges of the benching worksurfaces by placing the cabinet onto the brackets. Secure using the #8 x 5/8 panhead screws (see Fig. 2). Note: This can be installed with the opening facing either toward or away from the Benching.

With the top panel resting directly against the wall panels, gently tap the top panel forward until the panel is flush on both ends. NOTE: The panel will fit tighter the farther it moves forward. If necessary, use a Rubber Mallet to slide panel on, or remove the top panel and loosen shoulder screws 1/4 turn to ease the Top Outside Panel attachment.

Screw panels down to the C-Channel Rails in the ceiling assembly using #10 x 5/8" Wood Screws.

Starting on the Outer Walls of the Refuge, attach the (6) Wall Shrouds to the C-Channel Rails by slipping the shroud over the rail and sliding the shroud forward as far as possible.

Next, following the directions specified above, attach the (2) Ceiling Shrouds to the CChannel Rails on the Ceiling Assembly.
•
Lastly, attach the (2) Notched Ceiling Shrouds to the C-Channel Rails on the Ceiling Assembly. NOTE: Be careful when slipping shrouds onto rail, making sure each notch matches up with each rail. Ceiling Rails may need to be loosened and slightly shifted in order to make all shrouds fit properly.
•
NOTE: If shrouds do not fit tight and can easily fall off, firmly press in on the side flanges of the shroud giving it a tighter fit to the rail.
•
Ensure all screws are tightened down. Confirm that the Refuge is level, adjust glide positions as necessary. Assembly is now complete.

Attach Clamps to End Legs 1.
Loosen the clamp screw on the Universal Clamp. Leave the clamp arm loosely attached to the clamp base. Place the Universal Clamp Assembly on the Leg Assembly so that the Leg Assembly nests into the INNER groove on the Universal Clamp Assembly (see Fig.1).
2.
Loosely assemble the flat t-nut plate to the Accessory Clamp Assembly using the M6 x 12 screw (see Fig. 2).
3.
Position the Universal Clamp Assemblies and the Accessory Clamp Assembly (see Fig. 3).
4.
Fully tighten the clamp screws on all clamp assemblies.
5.
Retain Tool Rail End Cap for installation of Tool Rail.
6.
If the leg is standing height (ELST models) follow the Tie Rod Kit instruction sheet for the steps necessary to complete this installation.

1.
Loosen the clamp screw on the Universal Clamp. Leave the clamp are loosely attached to the clamp base. Place the Universal Clamp Assembly so that the Leg Assembly nests into the OUTER groove on the Universal Clamp Assembly (see Fig. 1). Repeat for each clamp.
2.
Loosely assemble the flat t-nut plate to the Accessory Clamp Assembly using the M6 x 12 screw (see Fig. 2). Repeat for second clamp.
3.
Position the Universal Clamp Assemblies and the Accessory Clamp Assemblies (see Fig. 3).

Assemble Framework 1.
Starting with an End Leg Assembly, remove the M8 x 16 Button Head Screw from the top of the Universal Clamp. Drop the C-Channel Rail onto the Clamp making sure the stamped boss on the rail lines up with the dimple on the Clamp.
2.
Attach the rail to the clamp by fastening the M8 x16 BHCS through the rail and into the top of the Clamp.
3.
Attach the next leg assembly to this c-channel in the same manner. Depending on the floor plan, this may be either an end leg or middle leg assembly.
4.
Install the remaining C-Channel Rails for this single section, then repeat for each additional section that is added.

Attach Tool Rails 1.
Slide the Tool Rails onto the Accessory Clamps and T-nut assemblies. Slide the Tool Rail onto the T-nut so that the T-nut is inside the Tool Rail and the tool rail rests on the Clamp Base.
2.
Place End Caps on the ends of the Tool Rails. Secure in place by fastening M4 x 8mm Pan Head Phillips Screw (see Fig. 1).
3.
Making sure the Tool Rails are centered and perpendicular to the legs, tighten all T-nut assemblies.
4.
Confirm tool rail is in a straight line by sighting from the end of the benching setup. Adjust leg assemblies and/or accessory clamps as needed.

Position the Diamond Shaped T Nut as shown in Fig. 3A (perpendicular to the rail) and insert into the underside of the C Channel. Using a 5mm Allen Wrench, tighten the screw, making sure the T Nut rotates into the position seen in Fig. 3B.

Position the bookcase firmly against the edges of the benching worksurfaces by sliding the Cantilever Arms into the slots on the back panel. Adjust leveling glides as required. Secure using the #8 x 5/8 panhead screws (see Fig. 2).

Attach Storage Box 1.
Remove the Tool Rail End Cap.
2.
Loosen screw on Universal Clamp Assemblies and place them on the End Leg Assembly so that it is resting in the OUTER groove of the Universal Clamp Assembly (see Fig. 1). NOTE: make sure that the Clamp Assemblies are lined up with the two outermost Clamp Assemblies already installed.
3.
Using a 5mm Allen Wrench, attach the Cantilever arms to the Universal Clamp Assemblies with the M8 x 16 BHCS screws (see Fig. 1).
4.
Position the Storage Box firmly against the edges of the benching worksurfaces by sliding the Cantilever Arms into the slots on the back panel. Adjust leveling glides as required. Secure using the #8 x 5/8 panhead screws (see Fig. 2).

Loosen the clamp screw on the Universal Clamp. Leave the clamp arm loosely attached to the clamp base. Position the Universal Clamp Assembly on the Leg Assembly so that the Leg Assembly nests into the INNER groove on the Universal Clamp Assembly (see Fig. 1).

Position the Universal Clamp Assemblies, then fully tighten the clamp screws on all clamp assemblies.
3.
Remove the M8 x 16 Button Head Screws from the top of the Universal Clamps. Drop the CChannel Rail onto the Clamp making sure the protrusion on the rail lines up with the dimple on the Clamp.
4.
Attach the rail to the Clamp by fastening the M8 x 16 BHCS through the rail and back into the top of the Clamp (see Fig. 1).
5.
Install the remaining C-Channel Rails as directed above. Place the frame in its permanent location and verify that the unit is level; adjust the glides as necessary.
6.
Install pedestals as required and fasten in place using #8 x 5/8 pan head screws.

Step 2: Assemble Final Frame •
Place a Half Frame Assembly from step 1 upright and in its permanent location. Then place the other Half Frame Assembly next to it, as shown above.

Align both frames and bring each half closer in to each other until the Frame Legs can engage onto the clamps. Once all clamps are fully engaged, snug screws down, but do not fully tighten.
•
Postion Frame Leg to the dimension specified from step 1 and fully tighten all clamp screws. NOTE: Use Pry Bar if necessary to raise Wall Panel to specified location. Repeat for the other Frame Leg.

Step 4: Attach Top Panel •
Locate the Mod-Eez clips on the Top Outside Panel and the Mod-Eez shoulder screws on the Outer Wall Assembly.

Place the Top Outside Panel onto the Outer Wall Assembly making sure the shoulder screw is inserted into the pocket of the Top Outside Panel and in front of the groove of the ModEez clip as shown in the detail above.
•
With the top panel resting directly against the wall panels, gently tap the top panel forward until the panel is flush on both ends. NOTE: The panel will fit tighter the farther it moves forward. If necessary, use a Rubber Mallet to slide panel on, or remove the top panel and loosen shoulder screws 1/4 turn to ease the Top Outside Panel attachment.
•
Screw panels down to the C-Channel Rails in the ceiling assembly using #10 x 5/8" Wood Screws.

Step 5: Attach Cover Shrouds •
Starting on the Outer Walls of the Refuge, attach the (6) Wall Shrouds to the C-Channel Rails by slipping the shroud over the rail and sliding the shroud forward as far as possible.
•
Next, following the directions specified above, attach the (2) Ceiling Shrouds to the CChannel Rails on the Ceiling Assembly.
•
Lastly, attach the (2) Notched Ceiling Shrouds to the C-Channel Rails on the Ceiling Assembly. NOTE: Be careful when slipping shrouds onto rail, making sure each notch matches up with each rail. Ceiling Rails may need to be loosened and slightly shifted in order to make all shrouds fit properly.
•
NOTE: If shrouds do not fit tight and can easily fall off, firmly press in on the side flanges of the shroud giving it a tighter fit to the rail.
•
Ensure all screws are tightened down. Confirm that the Refuge is level, adjust glide positions as necessary. Assembly is now complete.

Place Lift Column control in the center of the top, near the user side edge and attach to the underside of the worksurface.
