Purpose
To provide the development, support, maintenance and security of all IT systems
Main responsibilities
The installation, configuration and testing of hardware and software; Maintain and develop website and social media; Provide 2nd and 3nd line technical support
Grade:
H7 (26-29), 36 hours per week, full time?
Operational Oversee and coordinate the IT technicians to ensure all tasks are carried out to a high standard and within appropriate timeframes To support, maintain and develop the school website, social media and intranet (internal website). Working with external suppliers as required Maintain and develop mobile device booking system To assist with lessons where required to ensure that technological developments are implemented and used properly To establish and maintain good relationships with all students, parents/carers, colleagues and other professionals To provide technical expertise with the operation of Queens’ IT networks, undertaking advanced installation, development and configuration To assist the IT team with hardware and software issues within Queens’ including supporting IT Developments. To assist administrative staff with hardware and software operations as required To assist with ensuring that staff and students have a satisfactory, robust, reliable and secure IT environment, including back-up schemes for the curriculum and administration IT environments To assist with installation and configuration of hardware and software including new releases, testing and training for staff and students To assist in the monitoring of the performance of hardware, software and the network, identifying problems and resolving them. Advising of issues and potential improvements To coordinate the safe receipt and storage of hardware, software and consumables including any necessary unpacking and installation
To maintain accurate and up to date asset register of all IT Hardware and Software on site To maintain the control of stock, including liaising with suppliers, maintaining records, and monitoring stock levels To maintain a log of problems, changes and resolutions To assist in monitoring and managing the use of the Internet, e-safety, Safeguarding and data protection within Queens’ and report issues To support the network by adding new members of Queens’ community and the archiving of user materials from Queens’ leavers before removal of their user accounts To support the delivery of INSET programmes for staff and assemblies as required Raise support cases with third parties as required
Administrative To ensure that all administrative duties, checks and documentation are completed to the required level of accuracy including returns and reports To process, input and extract information from other Queens’ database systems as required
General To attend Queens’ events and provide technical support as required To keep abreast of developments and changes in the IT field and communicate to staff
Training & development of self and others
As a lead professional set personal targets and take responsibility for own continuous professional development Ensure all new staff receive an induction into IT

Education and Qualifications Essential GCSE in English and Maths Desirable IT related qualifications
