Athletic Endowment Fund

Victory Endowment Donor A $25,000 gift (through a five-year pledge period or other through various gift vehicles) supports the Athletic Endowment Fund. The endowment principal is continually reinvested; income from these funds permanently supports the needs of our programs. The Greyhound Club provides special recognition to a Victory Endowment donor by placing a recognition plaque in the Ruth Lilly Fitness Center.

Methods of Giving

Helping to hone our competitive edge For more than 75 years, the University of Indianapolis has been committed to athletics and the opportunities and experiences it provides to student-athletes. As an NCAA Division II affiliate with 21 sports and more than 500 student-athletes, the University’s commitment to maintaining an outstanding athletics program and producing first-class student-athletes is stronger than ever. The University competes in two of the most competitive conferences in the nation: the Great Lakes Valley Conference and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Greyhounds have produced championships in eight sports, and because of tough conference play, our teams and student-athletes regularly receive invitations to NCAA tournaments. In eight of the last nine years, the Greyhounds have finished in the Top 20 of the Learfield Director’s Cup standings, a ranking of all Division II athletic programs. In addition to this success, UIndy has won numerous team academic awards and individual

Academic All-Americans. The University is fortunate to enjoy its reputation for outstanding accomplishments in athletic competition while providing exceptional young men and women the opportunity to become successful, well-prepared graduates.

Gifts to the Athletic Endowment Fund may be made in a variety of ways. Gifts of cash and securities are the most frequently used means for making a contribution. Planned gifts and estate gifts, such as charitable trusts, charitable gift annuities, and bequests also are common ways to make gifts to the Athletic Endowment Fund. Below is a complete list of the ways one can make a contribution: Pledges (generally up to five years) Cash, stock, CDs, and mutual funds Matching gifts

The Athletic Endowment Fund assists the University in its continuing efforts to offer this experience to young people while strengthening an already outstanding athletic program.
