Attorney General Job Description The Attorney General (AG) is responsible for the clarification and enforcement of all Student Government Regulations and Laws. The Attorney General serves as legal counsel for Student Government, and the prosecutor of impeached officials in all cases before the Student Government Supreme Court; with the exception of cases brought against the Executive Board whereupon he/she will serve as council for the defendant. Ø The Attorney is allowed to work 15 hours per week.
Duties 1. The Attorney General shall be responsible for the organization and operation of all external Student Government business as pertains to the Executive Board. 2. Be involved in any Student Government committee responsible for external affairs. 3. Understand all Student Government policies and procedures. 4. Advise the President on all legal matters. 5. Be able to provide clarification of USFSM policies and procedures within five (5) business days of a student’s request. 6. Perform any other duties under the discretion of the President.

Must remain in good academic standing with the University of South Florida-Sarasota-Manatee Must be able to serve for a full term: Fall 2017- Spring 2018 Must list USFSM as home campus and take at least one class at USFSM each semester (Fall and Spring) Must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA
