Aubree Cote SMART Pretrial Coordinator, Denver, CO Aubree Cote is the Denver Site Coordinator for the Bureau of Justice Assistance Smart Pretrial Demonstration Initiative. In this role, she guides the Denver justice partners to examine and collaborate around improved understanding of the pretrial system and implementation of improved practices. Prior this, Cote spent 16 years working with the Community Corrections Division in Denver, initially as an Electronic Monitoring Probation Officer and then as supervisor with the Pretrial Services Unit. Cote has been part of Denver’s pretrial program development and continued work towards improved supervision strategies. She worked in residential community corrections and alternative sentencing and is a former president of the Executive Board of the Colorado Association of Pretrial Services for four years. Cote holds a B.A. in sociology and an M.A. in criminal justice from the University of Colorado.
