EMAIL TO [email protected] REQUIRED TO REGISTER New Jersey Art Association members whose dues are paid for 2017-2018 may submit two original, two-dimensional works of art that have not previously received an award in an MSHAC or NJAA exhibition. Sculptures cannot be accommodated in this exhibit. ELIGIBILITY:
Submitted works must be ready for hanging (framed and securely wired), may not be smaller than 11 by 14 inches, including the frame, or larger than 30 by 40 inches and may not weigh more than 20 pounds. Plexiglas rather than regular glass is recommended for larger works. Wet or tacky paintings will not be accepted. Submitted work should further the objectives of the Morris County Park Commission by dealing with such themes as nature, horticulture, conservation or historic preservation. Crafts, giclées, prints or copies of previously published images will not be accepted, nor will works deemed inappropriate by NJAA or the Morris County Park Commission staff. The hanging and placement of artwork will be at the discretion of the exhibition chair. All entries must be registered in advance. The deadline is Wednesday, July 26, 2017. RECEIVING:
Artwork will be received between 10 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, Aug. 1. If you
have tried every option and there is simply no way you can deliver work during this period, please call Jack Quinn, an NJAA board member, at (973) 292-1798. He will try to make alternate arrangements. First, second and third-place awards will be presented at a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 15.

The show will be judged by a master gardener from the Rutgers Cooperative Extension.
Sales will be handled by Jack Quinn of the NJAA board. Works should be priced at $500 or less, and the Morris County Park Commission expects a donation of 25 percent of the sales

price. Sales tax should be included in the price of the work, and selling artists will be responsible for reporting the tax. Unsold works may be picked up between 10 a.m. and noon on Thursday, Aug. 31. If you are unable to pick up work during this period, please call Mike Dziomba, the NJAA president, at (973) 518-0559 to make alternate arrangements. Unless such arrangements have been made, neither NJAA nor the Morris County Park Commission will assume responsibility for work not retrieved during the pickup period.
